In Memory

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

Pistol
SHR, U-CH, Nachusa's PJ's Lock And Load RN, WC, JH 2/2/06 - 03/21/19

Pistol is one of the sweetest dogs we own. She loves attention, belly rubs, and loves to retrieve. We have found over the past few years that she loves being a mom. She has the most beautiful puppies, and will now become our professional mom around here, so we can share that great temperament with other families.

Camo
U-CD, HRCH PJ's Can You See Me Now RE, MH 10/29/07 - 05/27/19

Camo is out of a breeding I was so excited about, and she has not let me down. Camo has drive for retrieving birds, and the same drive when doing a blind retrieve. She has the most incredible entry leap into the water and goes at her swimming with about a 9-horse motor. Of course her tail is slapping the water wagging the entire time while swimming. She received her Master Hunter title at just 3 years of age.

Vegas
SHR, U-CH, PJ's Hit The Jackpot RN, WC, JH 2/28/06

Vegas lives with my mother, and allows my mom to have the chance to train and raise puppies also. Vegas would prefer a good lap to sit in, but when asked to retrieve in the field, she then shows her passion for the retreive.

GRCH U-CDX PJ's X-Pensive Hobbie CDX, CAN CDX 4/14/00 - 9/15/15

Hobbie is such a special girl. She had the perfect temperament to let her go to my mom, and my mom has continued to put obedience titles on her. She was so great looking that I got involved with confirmation, and she in our first UKC Grand Champion. She has thrown some beautiful puppies, and if asked, will chase a squirrel - will be running faster than any of the other dogs. Hobbie has been spayed.

Scott Olson offering Gunner a smell of Chili's fur so it would be easier to find her at the rainbow bridge. Such an emotional day.

Gunner came to me as a rescue at 6 months old.  I young man called me in October of 2003 and asked if I knew the # for lab rescue – turns out he had a 6 month old yellow lab that he bought for his girlfriend, and now they don’t have time for him.  I had him bring out the dog “Cubbie” was his name. We put him in the garage kennel for the first night, and the next day I knew – he would be my first male lab  -  I was keeping him – but – the name had to go.
Accomplishments from Gunner were many.  2006 that was his year, in UKC we started off the year showing, and literally racked up Top 10 points so fast, that all I could think is #1 lab was on my agenda.  Thanks to Ellen McKinnon and Nonnick, , for traveling with us, and for playing chauffer for me – we traveled a lot – and we won – a lot.  Gunner still holds the record for “Most points awarded to a Labrador retriever in one year” at 233 points. He also has the most “Total Dog” awards in one year at 14. We decided to go out on top – and ended his show career at the end of the year. But, no Gunner was not finished, on to all of his other obedience, rally, and field titles. If you asked him to do something – he was happy to do it.
My Buddy – He was my boy – my Gunner man, or Butt Butt. He always had a toy in his mouth when he would greet you, and proceed to adjust it on your leg – which I would always have to explain to people.   He could also have a full conversation with you, and would always be in your lap if the lounge chair in the living room had the foot rest up, or next to you on the couch.  He truly was my best friend.
He truly loved me as much as I loved him – and that will never change.
Love you Buddy

"ONCE BY MY SIDE, FOREVER IN MY HEART" by Scott Olson

Chili came into my heart one day,
So beautiful and smart
A dear, sweet companion,
I loved her from the start.
And now that the time has come,
When she would have to part.
She'll never be forgotten,
For Chili left paw prints on my heart.
She no longer greets me with toys and wiggles
As I walk through the door.
She's not there to make me smile,
To make me laugh anymore.
Life seems  quiet without her,
She was far more than just a pet.
Chili was a family member, a friend,
And a love I'll never forget.
It will take time to heal,
For the silence to go away.
I still listen for her footsteps each and every day.
Chili, you were such a great companion,
Constant, loyal, and true,
My heart will ALWAYS wear
The paw prints left by you.

BOGEY
U-CDX, SHR, PJ's One Over Par CDX, JH, WCX 10/31/98

Bogey

We lost Bogey at 15 years of age on January 24th.  She will sadly be missed by many who all enjoyed throwing balls, and Frisbees for her over the years.   10/31/1998 - 1/24/2014

JAZZ
U-CDX, U-CH PJ's Lazzy M All That Jazz RN, UD 9/14/1997 - 9/8/2011

Jazz 9/14/97 - 9/8/11 Jazz

Jazz was such a special girl, who' s pedigree went to my first chocolate I owned at 15. Jazz loved to work, loved to be a mom, and always asked permission before getting on the furniture. She also loved to sunbathe when outside or on the floor with the suns rays coming in the window. She will be greatly missed.

DAKOTA
U-CDX PJ's Dakota's Kodak Moment UD 8/13/1997 - 6/11/2009

Dakota 8/13/97 - 6/11/09 Dakota

Dakota was our first purchase when we bought a home of our own. I had been out of obedience for awhile, and put Dakota into classes, and bang - she just learned it all quickly. I started putting titles on her, and knew I could take her all the way to Utility. She also produced the starting litters to our kennel, and those of you who had one of her special puppies, understands what great temperment and social butterflies she produced. We miss her and think of her everyday.
